Authority Sites or Mini Sites- Which Means Should You Go?

Individual online marketers often do not fully understand the implications to their marketing when considering authority sites and mini sites. Many internet marketing newbies have trouble deciding which kind of site to focus on. Plus you benefit from the inherent “stickiness” value with the larger site. It’s hard to make mini sites sticky because the content on them is so limited. 

A mini site can be especially good for certain types of campaigns. You could, for example, rank highly if you aimed your marketing campaign at foreign countries, if you know there isn’t a lot of competition for your keywords there. You could focus your SEO in the country you were targeting and find a host for your mini site in that country. But, we suggest you do a test with that approach as we are not comfortable with saying it is a guaranteed hit. While marketers commonly focus on Google and its policies, there are other search engines as well. It’s always possible to optimize your sites with other search engines, like Bing in mind, even if they’re not as big as Google. If you’re looking to get good results from your mini sites, that’s one way to approach it. 

Each market in which you are involved online needs to be considered separately because each venture is unique. Every venture you pursue will be somewhat different than the last and you’ll need to change the way you market. For this reason alone it is impossible so say that mini sites or authority sites are superior over the other.
